Guidelines
The National Association of Black Counselors publishes articles from a wide range of topics such as Counselor Education, Faith & Spirituality, Marriage and Family, Sexuality, LGBTQIA, Addiction Treatment and Recovery, College & Career Counseling, Greek Life, Students and Residents, Afro-Latino, Grief and Trauma, Multiculturalism, Globalization, and Diversity.
The types of articles appropriate for submission to the journal include the following:
· Original research studies about Counseling
· Original research studies about therapy
· National and state policy reports/reviews about Counselor Education
· Institutional perspectives affecting Counseling profession
· Book reviews about Counseling related to the Afro-Centric point of view
· Commentaries on Counseling
· Cultural Studies
Pioneering analysis reflecting innovation, research, practice, or reflection from the field is solicited.
All submissions are subjected to a double blind review selection process. Scholars, administrators, policymakers, educators, and students who wish to shape the future of Counselor Education are encouraged to submit manuscripts.
